Yes the 4hp has only one CV input that is shared between the SRR and three control knobs.Thank you for clarifying. So, if I assume correctly, normal FX Aid units could only ever use the CV input to offset SRR if you want to run at 48KHz? One would need the XL if you wanted to CV the parameters (and run at 48KHz) as it has a dedicated SRR input (and dedicated CVs for each knob)? No, you need to give a positive offset voltage to the srr input.
AFAIK you need a negative offset to increase the sample rate, and a positive one to decrease it.
-2V is where you get the full 48Khz.SRR input has a range of [-2v to +5v]
Also bear in mind that this has a reducing effect on the delay/decay times.
The fun starts where the SRR goes in the other way, into long delays and crunchy mode in my opinion. Image may be NSFW.
