I've been having some complications around Destiny + gear for the past week or so. I've had a patch that has, without rework, stopped working several times and requires various pitch adjustments for the patch to squeal back into function. I originally thought this was an issue with my older model Psyche 16 and have been chatting to Kirkis about the matter.
Today I completely ripped out my patch as I wanted to play around more with the CC by Destiny +. Using the same patch cable I found that I was unable to get the kick drum to trigger. This made me start to suspect the cables as Kirkis is super fastidious and it seemed impossible that I got two defective instruments from him.
Turns out it's this Lorre Mill Banana Cables that I purchased from Control in NY. I don't know explicitly what's wrong with the cables but they've got a much higher resistance than any other banana cable I own. The multi-meter will always show 0 resistance eventually... but on all of my other cables they resistance hits 0 almost instantly. On the Lorre Mill branded cable it takes several seconds for it to hit 0. I've found that I cannot trust any of them.
Avoid these cables to save yourself embarrassment and frustration.
P.S.
All Destiny + gear is now working perfectly after I got rid of the junk cables.
