My own design influences come from that same era, as well as having worked in USAF Titan2 ICBM Silos in the 80s. This is some all-Dot-Com modules that I've repaneled and hardwired various connections. Quite like the Bat Cave, The Time Tunnel, Lost In Space, or the Seaview, as well as my own milspec experience and influences all come together in my design choices..... My oldest friends would tell you I've been working at it in some form or another for 58 years - ever since 8 September 1966 - when NBC first aired Star Trek. Sure, Euroracks didn't exist yet. And synths were barely past being gleams in Buchla's and Moog's eyes. But there sure was a hellva lota beeps, boops, and flashing going on! Me? I was hooked - and my dad's Wollensak reel-to-reel was hooked up. My friends will confirm, but my wife might quote Dr. "Bones" McCoy: "Jim, his brain is gone!"

A bit of lived experience, with a bit of childhood influences, with a bit of Rock, and a bit of Spock. All comes together at the design table.
