Multiplying the envelope with itself will make it exponential, which can be done using a ringmod.

This doesn’t require a ring mod for a unipolar envelope, any dc coupled VCA will do. But more importantly, it will *not* give you an exponential envelope (though you might still be happy with result, so go for it!). It will become curved, but not as aggressively curved as an exponential, which may or may not matter for you.

If your envelope has a cv time control, you can make it truly exponential by feeding an inverted copy of the envelope back into the time control. An attenuverter helps, letting you control the depth of the feedback.

[the math is that multiplying an envelope by itself gives you (envelope)^2, you want exp(envelope) ].
