I have some copper tape lying about somewhere (it was supposed to stop snails from getting into my planter boxes), finally have a use for it.You might want to add copper shielding tape to help prevent noise.
Thin laminate wood would be better than solid wood, to help prevent splitting. Wood can shink and expand significantly with changes in humidity.
Could you perhaps (apologies for asking) explain or direct me to an explanation of the why of this step?
I am asking because the PSU has only a + and - running into the Euro box, there's no connection to grounding. (perhaps this question already exposes misunderstanding, but happy to learn!!)
P.s. My DIY euro case is made out of an old thin plywood IKEA desk storage unit. Super easy to cut to size + for free from my garage. Image may be NSFW.
