For metallic synth sounds my personal favorites are Schlappi Angle Grinder, DSI PolyEvolver, Casio VZ-10m and Waldorf Microwave XTK.
The Angle Grinder is really become my goto for sounds like rough edged sheet metal scraped together.
The PE is great for sounds like a metal garbage can rolling down a staircase.
The VZ is nice for metallic percussion sounds.
The Microwave excells at sounds which sound like they are made from long metal wires.
Runner up is the V-Synth for weird machinery noises.
