It's fine, I was curious about the thing too.Sorry for going off on a compressor tangent. The reason I asked before was only because I like the sound and was curious about your mixing technique. With careful sound design and mixing you arguably don't really need them:)
I like the energy on this new one!
Keep up the good work
Well, I can't stop, Cthulhu called and told me to continue.
These things can go in strange ways. I can only hear my inspirations when I'm listening to a finished track.idk if what i listen to is reflected at all in my music. listening and playing are seperate processes for me. i never 'try' to play someones music. perhaps that's where influences are manifest? my playing - lately anyway - is more jazz funk fusion. which i never* listen to. lol.
*-i do have an exceptional memory for somethings though; maybe some of it's music too. :0)
Which is a bit strange given that music seems to a medium where the pattern of imitating your masters is seems the most pervasive. It's both the common advice, usual course of action and even whomever you consider the greats probably spent years doing that even if they went their own strange way afterwards.
That certainly doesn't give confidence to a self taught person doing their own thing, like me.
