The same guy has a bunch of videos doing the same thing with Lexicon PCM70, Eventide H3000 etc. When you sit and watch them one after another playing a similar figure on the Roland (it's always an a Aphex Twin tune) the Quadraverb sounds like a box of rocks compared to the others. I think when I ran through it was a 224 preceding the Qverb so not apples to apples. I have one but don't use it for reverb. I have used it in the past for cue reverb and some vocalists really dug the bright Quadraverb sound.
If anyone gets a Quadraverb, get a Quadraverb GT. The compression, distortion and overdrive on the front really expand the character of the unit. Just a touch of compression and overdrive easily add weight and color to the brittle reverb. Making it much better.
Also the case on the infamous Roland srv3030. Except in that case the compression is post effect and helps bring out the bloom and remove the brittleness. But it's a buried menu item you have to go find. Merciless menu diving on that one.
