That's beautiful, would like to hear the audible freq of the pipistrelles auto location at work. I often see bats at dusk flashing about the trees, a completely mesmerising moment.. the bat detector I bought after moving to an area of heavily wooded countryside, goes nuts when the bats (Pipistrelles, Daubentons) come out around dusk. The eirie sounds are like something from a 60's sci-fi movie. Amazing creatures.
The Bat Detector homes in on the autolocation frequencies that bats produce. They are all above the range of human hearing (35 - 65 khz) , but the bat detector renders those frequencies audible.
The species of bat can be identified by its auto location frequency.
