I've sequenced it from Metron, Stolperbeats, and (most often and most recently) from Toraiz SQUID (via a MIDI->CV patch in DROID.)How do you sequence or trigger it, and how well does it benefit from cv inputs vs just triggering?
FIRE has CV inputs per channel, as well as a couple of extra inputs, and the mod matrix is quite powerful. You can control simple things like velocity or decay, per-channel patch morphing, any instrument parameter, or even multiple of these at once, each with their own modulation attenuation. It's really quite comprehensive.
I haven't had an 880 but have been tempted a few times. I wouldn't necessarily see either as a replacement for the other, though they do have some sonic overlap. I've also been tempted by the 6m0d6 a time or two. Between FIRE and my drum machines, though, I figure I'm more than set.
