Thanks John, Yes I did receive a 0V interface cable from Tom and i just started interfacing it today and its all sounding super. Thanks for your reply it surely did give me the confidence to SEND IT!!!Hi and welcome!![]()
In short, (because it's a big subject, with some of the gritty details over my head and even the top engineers sometimes disagree on proper procedures!) even though multiple devices might be powered from the same AC wall outlet, there will be variances in each device's AC to DC power supply causing the zero volt (0v) reference in each to have a slightly different potential from each other. By connecting the 0v rails of all devices together it brings their potentials closer together, hopefully perfectly equal but that's not so easy to achieve. The good news is that for most modular, synth, and audio needs, being close is usually more than good enough, IMHO.

If you have a voltage meter you can check for this my measuring the voltage between two isolated devices. For instance measure the voltage between the 0v jack on your BugBrand case and the metal nut of any jack on your Matriarch, (I don't have a BugBrand modular or a Matriarch so I can't test this myself).
BugBrand sells a grounding cable https://www.bugbrand.co.uk/product/bana ... ce-cables/ and maybe you already have that cable? All you need to do is for the very first patch plug the black banana into the 0v jack on your BugBrand case and plug the blue/white banana into what ever signal jack you want to send to the Matriarch and then plug the metal 3.5mm (1/8") plug into the desired jack on the Matriarch. That's it!
Best of luck and have fun!
