With capacitive touch plates, YMMV. They don’t work for me unless I’m tethered to the synth with a ground wire (or touching the case with my other hand, which is incapacitating). I refuse to wear a tether. I’ve essentially given up on capacitive touch plates.
A handful of touchplate-type technologies don’t seem to have this grounding issue. I’ve never had a problem with whatever it is sound-machines.it uses.
Not sure what Bela Gliss is doing.
Obviously, Tetrapad doesn’t have a grounding requirement.
