I'm afraid this is exactly what a rytm can do? The product you describe is almost exactly a rytm with overbridge. Plus analog drums aren't known for being highly configurable, so the rytms tweakability is pretty good for analog drums, which can be controlled with a vst. Maybe worthwhile to revisit the rytm.
Anything similar would compete with the rytm which has the elektron logo, fanbase, user base (well known ppl who have used it, YouTubers, etc), its sampler, and nice sequencer for significantly less cost. At that point it's basically a large vst dongle, and integrating that into a daw either with outboard audio or over usb is more annoying and never as easy and intuitive as software, as you have to record the audio into the session and deal with inevitable latency. It's a kind of the worst of both analogue & digital worlds imo.
