Yes its the anti oscillator going through the Borg 1 filter (both Gargoyle versions) perhaps my favorite combo..
Off topic but are the high pitched string notes made by the anti-oscillator? I like whatever that is!
Yeah so going back to quantisers, many will emit a trigger when crossing a semitone threshold.
The Doepfer quantiser has 2 channels of this for cheap. I have the Tenderfoot QQ2 which does 4 channels.
That said if youre looking to generate a regular BPM/drumbeat from highly irregular clock/notes, that is a challenge, and probably a module I would buy!
Ok I'm going to check out quantizers..
perhaps a logic module doing "and" where one input is a regular pulse (I'm thinking a none rotating channel of tempi) and the other channel the the irregular clocks might (with perhaps a clock multiplier like the SCM (to add complexity)) clarify irregular beats? I think this would take some fiddling with to work but perhaps in the end it would only make the irregularities more sparse? or would it find the common triggers? Feels like it depends on the speed of the regular pulse?
