Really my only sour note is 1010 music. Great products that I love, but terrible customer interactions. The Bitbox mk2 still has the huge bug that you can’t disable pad triggers on the inputs that also serve as CV input. So you can only have 12 pads and 8cv inputs, or 16 pads and 4cv inputs, unless you want to trigger 4 samples randomly when you modulate something. The micro can do this, it the mk2 can’t. When I’ve raised it by email or their forum the answer has been a flat out no.
I’ve honestly had few negative experiences otherwise. Some excellent interactions have included noise engineering and the always wonderful XOR. Really great people who are clearly passionate about what they do. The Canadian retail landscape is pretty limited but moog, nightlife, and cicada sound are all great, especially cicada.
