In a stream one time Richard said that a lot of older modules use parts that are no longer available. The SV1b was one that he specifically pointed to (I think this was pre Taiga release), where it was the most successful product they had released to date. But to continue to produce it, they'd need to redesign all the internals to use new parts. And he said if he had to put R&D into something, he'd just assume to improve upon old designs and make new things.
It also seems like outside of the safari series, they are strictly focusing on making "instruments" only. Which kind of makes sense as eurorack is pretty niche all things considered, and appealing to the larger synth community is probably much more stable and lucrative from a business perspective.
All that being said, there are still some Local Parks VCOs available and they are fantastic. The pulse wave is killer on it. And unless I'm forgetting a module, I think it's the only standalone PM VCO with an octave switch!
