One thing I do like about scales is the ability to pitch quantise without using a trigger input , and it also outputs a trigger / gate per note as well.

I'll chime in to point out that, in my fork, the ScaleDuet applet operates continuously (without a trigger) by default, and outputs a trigger pulse whenever the pitch changes.
