Yeah, just send a gate to the main input rather than using the trigger input. That will let you create ADSR-style envelopes where the sustain level is simply the level of your input gate and it’s held for the duration of your gate.I'd love to see a somewhat conventional ADSR envelope from New Systems that features some of the momentum and perhaps some smoothing too. I highlight the sustain phase because typically I will use that stage when setting up instrumental patches. Percussive envelopes are one thing but in my uses I will want to hold open a gate. I just set it up using the trig in tonight but I'll try using the input next time.
The rise momentum will control how far it ‘overshoots’ to a peak at the end of the attack stage. It’s not a traditional ADSR shape but it can sound very natural and ‘musical’ to my ears.
