I was able to make some "almost" violin sounds using Joranologue Cycle 5 and grayscale microcell (played by TINRS Next Tuesday):
Cycle 5 with no V/Oct input, vari control to midpoint and output provides tone to fill the microcell buffer.
microcell in Hold with note cv, trigger and modulation of size coming from Next Tuesday.
