It didn’t have a sweet spot, anywhere- it seemed to go straight from ‘clicky’ to ‘wide open’ no matter what shape of envelope/gate/trigger I sent it. I have a few other LPGs about the place, and even the cheapo-cheapo passive ones (the Intellijel 1U and the Beep Boop Little Pingable Gate) have a far wider range of responses.What didn't you like about it? I have one as well, and its the best lpg I've used in euro.
Tbh I hung onto it because I thought it would grow on me- and then after waiting just three months (to the day) after paying for it, my Natural Gate rocked up and I don’t think I patched the 292t at all after that. I’ve also got the Steady State Gate and a pair of v1 Optomixes- plus five tiny passive LPGs as above- and I don’t miss the 292t at all. I might give the vactrol-free one a try- I have a largely Buchla/TipTop 9U 84hp case- but I’ll be keeping an eye on the return window this time!
