I have the OXI and a PPW. I can't imagine being w/o Pam's. I use PPW primarily for creating complex wave shapes and probability triggers. OXI can't really do that on the level of Pam's.
Even though I would consider the Pipe module a must, (because it keeps things clean) you don't need it for OXI to function properly. That way you don't have to get rid of your Pam's. I'd even go so far as to say upgrade to PPW. (I'm just here to agitate your GAS)
If you're on the fence about the OXI, I'd say ''pull the trigger.'' It's pretty amazing.
