I have to love Behringer. All my life I learn about technology getting cheaper and cheaper and how much better today's microprocessors are etc. and here people are excited to buy technology from 1982 that is SO AFFORDABLE! Image may be NSFW.

Behringer just fell into this market, it was never a light bulb moment where they suddenly decided to take old equipment and clone it. It happened, as they say, organically. So here we are: today with everything old is new again.
I can imagine the profit margin on these, even with $399. - they are doing well.
Personally, I've never really been that interested in gear, but here is a story of a company that just made it. Reminds me of Apple in 2000.
