I'm building a Patching Panda Punch v1 (note: the build guide linked there is for a different version!). The build guide has a clear pin 1 indicator for IC9, but the other ICs don't have either of the indicators I'm used to seeing: a stripe on a short side or a dot at pin 1.
I figured out IC4 by looking at the photo in the guide, and copied IC3 by symmetry (assuming the long-side stripe is some sort or orientation guide—but not confident about this).
The photo appears to use a markingless chip for IC5 (a SMD TL072). The only marking I see in the guide is a stripe along along edge. Is that a standard way of denoting which side has pin 1? I haven't seen this before. I could use that + the chip's data sheet to figure out the orientation if I were confident that's the case.
