I'd have no bother attempting to replicate it, I'd just need the schematics :P how long it would take is another question entirely... if there was some proprietary chip on the other hand, that would be a show stopper. I'll see if I can assemble a parts list from the limited images there are online lmao. On the analogue board, though, there are four transistors I think that are heat shrinked over and impossible to ID. Very cheeky. Will do some more digging.

My advice is that if you want a TS10 or TS12 you get yourself a TS10 or TS12.
Ahhh that would make sense, but unfortunately, the prices for old synths are currently insane and, for Ensoniq in particular, almost insulting (though sometimes german classifieds ads pull up something good. Not that that helps, I don't live close enough to make that economical). Plus, I don't need the keyboard that comes with the full instrument. I also happen to have lofty ambitions and combine that with my electrical engineering experience that's just enough to tell me that I can do it, but not enough to tell me that I shouldn't, well, you have the recipe for a silly project.
