I`v just bought a new 8 track recorder and I`m wondering what`s the best recording settings for it?
My options are:
44.1k / 48k
16 bit / 24 bit
My brain is saying 48k 24bit would be the best choice because it`s the highest quality (I assume?), but I wanted to hear what others with more experience think.
Note; I`m not bothered about recording time eating up more card memory at higher setting, if I only get half a dozen tracks per SD card that`s fine. I`m also not really bothered about writing to CD.
And if it`s relevent at all, I`ll be using the Zoom R8, and no I`m not bothered that send effects can`t be used at Higher rates, I just want clean high quality recordings.
