Also nice to hear someone that favours fx over synthesis. Speaking for my self I feel I lack the patience to do intricate sound designs, especially on polysynths. IMO It's more fun and immediate to have some basic sounds and messing with fx chains and feedback loops. I'm actually a big fan of 80s analog Casio keyboards for this.
