I would consider more variety than just having more VCAs. Say crossfader (AXYS) / four-quandrant multiplier (ring-mod) etc. / Low Pass Gate (LxD) etc.Yes, of course them being popular had some weight, but i can see the benefits of having a Quad VCA in the context of a larger system (larger than the 3U rack i shared in my post) and also the benefits of having just 2VCAs but with a bit more character.I would get neither ... seems you picked these two because of how popular those modules are. Not based on what you need and what function you are looking for. If you want a clean VCA modules there are a lot of alternatives out there.
Say Veils clone / A-130-2 / Intellijel uVCA / Javelin are also good choices. Quad VCA takes too much space IMO.
With that said, i'm really inclined to purchase the Tallin because, for now, i don't see myself using more than 2 VCAs and also because it doesn't take much space and i really liked the overdriven sounds i heard from it.
All the modules you suggested seem to fit my initial needs perfectly, so i'll do some further research. Thanks!
Two VCAs is more than enough for 6u as starting point.
