People turn the modulation to "10" and decide if they like the sound or not, that's a pretty arbitrary amount. I grumble when someone says module X is "good at FM" when they like the max sound using some VCO they have. Short answer, cranked up to max is probably arbitrary and not very useful beyond a riot sort of sound.
Given the oscs are probably from 2 different brands and specs, what ever is the max probably doesn't mean that much. Adding more gain, not that that will necessarily do much good, requires patching, which for some users is too hard to do.
Thing 2: An unchanging FM tone gets boring fast. Agree one must use a VCA adjusting the amount of the modulator over time
adding 'this' because I saw someone said in another thread that they didn't like it as an explanation of approval,
I guess an I agree flag is better?
