I think this subforum could benefit from a stickied post that links to all of the threads with the most discussion of these systems.

I was going to post a PM to Sc suggesting almost the same thing. Have been putting it off to think about best way to do it.
Because a single long thread will be almost as bad -or worse than- the present situation where Sc is asking in each new thread to add links. <--Not that that is bad, It's basically what I suggested. But your plan for a central VintageSynth links location is along the same lines I'd been thinking.
The issue is how to apportion the types-companies-models-details.
One example is the great service Docs site synfo.nl <--Have a look and you can get some sense of what an expanded version of what we've got here will -need to?- look like. And while you're there, if possible please do send him some 'love$' if you can. He does some stellar work on cleaning up the old docs. Which means he doesn't have everything, but what he does have is usually -or often- first rate! Having done a fair bit of that Docs cleanup myself, it's a long arduous task!
How best to translate that into a structure here on MW.

It's kind of pointless to try to re-create that site -and the many others like it, for example; synthfool.com. Means one -stickied and Mod configured- thread here could be a list of those Vintage Synth Docs sites. I'd suggest allowing some ratings or comments since there are some truly sub-standard sites.
After that, you'd need a thread for each model -as we currently have- but what's presently missing is some sort of Moderators only access to a 1st post in a 'card catalog' master thread where each time a new model is brought up in this sub-forum, it -and its primary link- gets added to the thread. <--Mods only because otherwise the ability to add new to initial post will become unavailable after a few days due to other concerns and setup within MW.
And also to provide some common style and formats to the main 'card catalog' for this sub forum.
It's also pointless -and wasteful- to try and name all the vintage synths in advance. Let it grow by posts, and have Sc and mods give it structure.
