in this case, you are in for a treat. It's a bit more cumbersome to set it up but modular can be amazing for working with more traditional instruments. As you know, modular is using a pro-audio level signal structure and there is such a plethora of unique effect modules - basically you can build an entire studio setup as one or two row rack that sonically will blow your socks off. I work a lot with electric guitar and I have dedicated rack only for fripertronicos madness that I use together with some pedals (and computer for multitracking).Also forgot to mention that I'm a guitar and trombone player and in addition to synth-focused stuff, I also want to use it for effects, etc.
