The reason basslines are problematic without a trigger input is because the wave needs to reset to zero at note on (or vca open). Without this, the percussive amp envelope interrupts the waveform mid cycle (sometimes) and you get pops and clicks (sometimes). It's the combination of bass freq and percussive envelope which creates this problem which is solved by the osc syncing to note on. But this one can't. So no basslines. Also, a sync input generally isn't responsive enough so you want a trigger input, like plaits.It's a VCO, not a complete voice, so this criticism makes little sense.No trigger input so no basslines. That's a shame.
