Sampling can be made to be relatively straightforward.Can anyone chime in on a a workflow question?
How intuitive is it to arm and record single shots and then save and organize the files for later use?
You can sample via audio threshold or gate (or manually) and sampling time can be a fixed time value or again controlled via a gate. If sampling manually, turn on arming to HOT that way the A8 will remain armed.
I would set the naming convention to use the name of the preset so file names will be the first 3 letters* of the preset name followed by an incrementing number (eg if your preset was called BD the the samples would be named BD001, BD002 etc.)
From there you can just sample over and over. There’s no need to confirm the sampling process after the fact, you can just move on and sample again and again until you’re done.
You will need to rename the files if you want to stay organized but you could do that after all your sampling is completed (ideally via computer).
* I personally wish it would be more than just the first 3 letters as file names can be much longer. Is one of those weird A8 limitations.
