Multi-turn trimmers definitely work better than do single to minimize (but not always absolutely eliminate) the 110 thump.
Using an ohmmeter, set them to 500 ohms prior to installing. This helps a lot.
BTW the two horizontal lines at the top and bottom of the dual 110 PCB are cut marks; it might be necessary to chop the PCB at those points so it fits in your rack.
