I have tried a few different morphagene units in various setups by itself, fully loaded with no space between modules in different cases/power supplies, and all have the same high pitch coil whine regardless. Though the audible loudness of the sound does slightly vary between units and configurations. Again, some people notice it more over others.
There will always be new users bringing this issue up whenever they first discover it for themselves, or when they come across these discussions, and decide to comment how they dont hear any noise from their unit at all (even though Make Noise confirmed years ago that the coil whine is due to Morphagene's actual hardware components). Until MN develop a new new successor, or change the hardware these are built on, all unit's will have varying degrees of hardware acoustic coil whine noise emanating from them, and hiss in the signal path when the sos knob is counterclockwise. Some people are fine dealing with the noise(or cant even detect it), and others end up moving the module on if they cannot stand the high pitched sound.
