I've become so impressed with the whole Synthesizers.Com engineering and especially the sound. The Q106 is THE most bad ass VCO that has ever been powered up in my rig. I'm not messing around here, no hype, these Q106s respond so well to so many modulation source-types as well as whatever is being modulated!
Now, I'm no pad player or sequencer driven user. I'm a player. Rock player, deeply inspired by Keith Emerson's earliest work as well as Manfred Mann, and "that one guy" from Deep Purple (John Lord). So I usually don't look for "perfect" wave shapes. I like the flaws, they produce a distinct character that doesn't take much work to get those VCOs to jump out front of the mix, even with overly-competitive guitar players (nyuk nyuk nyuk).
The "simplicity" of the Dot Com VCOs (oh brother.. the things some people's children say out there in web-ville) is actually an advantage. That simplicity leaves a metric shit-ton of room to grow, improve, change, everwhat.
