I suspect if you were fully aware of the biz practices of the manufacturers of many things you purchase, own and use in your day-to-day life, you'd want to chuck it all and go live in a cave on an isolated island. I understand some, not all, of peoples' complaints with Behringer. It is what it is. The reality is, they're bringing gear to the masses, it's decent, some would say good, and it's attainable. Some people say "Oh but they're detracting from the community." This is the same "community" that will openly display hostility to anybody that doesn't fit in with some narrowly defined spectrum of allowable opinions and actions, and you'll notice I haven't made a huge effort to try and "fit in." Meanwhile, my few hundred dollars worth of Behringer gear has sent me down the rabbithole and now I have a Befaco 7u x 104hp case holding several thousand dollars worth of modules from ALM, Noise Engineering, Squarp, 2HP, Tesseract, Doepfer, Takaab, Dreadbox, Befaco, Intellijel...all of these manufacturers have BENEFITED from Behringer.
Anyway, I know there's a separate thread for all that, and don't want to beat a dead horse.
Every time I plug in and start patching this thing, it makes me smile. It loves reverb; I think running noise into the FM in is still my favorite thing to do with it, but I also like running out into filters, distortions or bitcrushers. (I haven't tried folding because I don't have a wavefolder in my rig yet.) Also, I spent some time fooling around with voltages from 2HP DC. X/Y in responds best to -5/+5 for modulation. That's one of those things I'd like to see in a firmware update, an option to choose the voltage range expected at CV inputs. I haven't plugged into...what is it, SynthTribe or whatever? to see if there's a setting accessible there.
