Music Tech DIY • Turing Machine not triggering

I finished my build, with some parts scavenged from a failed previous build. the components, from the first attempt, never had a current passed through them, until today

I apply power and have the top row of leds lit, solid. I send a trigger, from Pams, to Clock and no response from that or the single led above, nothing I have fed it gets a triggered response. no knob turning or clicking on Write makes any difference

there is Noise coming from the correct output. main Out can change the pitch cv, in Brains, by turning the Scale, I can even change what mode Brains is in via Turing Machine. sending audio signal, from Braids, I can hear but it has its volume much reduced. Scale disappears from range shortly past 12 o'clock

I checked all of my solder joints and the ICs are all facing the correct way, chips might have time to have cooled before I can pull it out and apart to test for overheating

Is it important to have the power header soldered, says Gates on my pcb, even though I currently have no intention of using? I have a Pulses module waiting to be paired up

Any suggestions?
