I bought a D50 shortly after it came out and loved it...the choir patches were especially impressive...like angels singing. Then multi-timbral synths came out and us D50 owners were bummed we could only play one sound at a time. A couple years later I traded it in for a D20 which was 8 part multi-timbral and a much better fit to what I needed.
Many years later when I got a V-Synth I bought the D50 emulation card which was cool![:party:]( "w00t")
