Music Software • Re: VCV Rack 2

In preparation for potentially (who am I kidding... probably) buying a 4ms Meta Module I'm giving VCVRack a first spin. I'm getting a ton of clicks and dropouts.

This is using VCVRack 2.5.2, on an M1 MacBook Pro running Monterey 12.7.4

Is VCVRack running well for anyone else with a similar setup?

I’ve been using it on a similar setup (M1 Pro/MBP 14”) but Sonoma in my case. No issues with dropouts or anything (didn’t have any with previous OSes). I usually use it with a MOTU 828es or the built in audio. What interface are you using? Have you tried lowering the buffer? M1 chips tend to have better performance with lower buffers.
