Most external mixers are designed for +4dBu signal levels on the line inputs. Eurorack puts out 20 dB so there is a potential problem. Solutions:
The other way is trickier. You need a pre-amplifier with a gain of 8. A little harder to build, (but still simple as far as powered circuits go) but plenty of modules are available.
- Many mixers are happy to accept 20dB.
- Look for attenuators (gain) on each input.
- Look for "pad" buttons on the inputs.
- Be careful about mic inputs. There may be a gain adjust, but it may come after some electronics that will overload and distort on a 20 dBu signal.
