How about valve distortion units, I mean, I remember having like a red (Rocktron?) valve distortion rack back in the early 2000s, it was dope, too bad my studio was burglarized at the time and did not use it that much in the end. Valves do really bring up all the warmth you want right? They don't sound digital at all... My mate guitarist would say that a valve sound is "transparent", and yes he was right on that.
Anyone tried or regularly use any of the following mods?
