Thank you so much for the detailed feedback. Very happy you enjoy the moduleI've owned mine for a couple weeks at this point.
It's a great sounding, super versatile module, and I love using it as a dual multimode filter. It can get pretty dirty, but is really easy to control and dial in. As with the other shakmat stuff, the build quality is great, and I love the big rubber knobs.
Gotta say though, as a non-vactrol LPG it's not my favorite. The non-adjustable LPG tail "opto" button is too short for my personal tastes, and I find myself needing to feed an envelope into it to make it sound the way I want it to. I wish it could have had a knob for the Opto decay length, or at the very least a long/medium/short switch option. (if this is somehow adjustable even from the back that would be amazing). If you're one to send envelopes into an LPG or if you like super short LPG decays then this would likely be to your taste. I just personally like pinging my LPGs and having them ring a bit.
With that said, I have the dual dagger and the Centaurs gates, and both are jam-packed with features while being super playable and sounding great. I just personally wouldn't get the Centaur's gates for LPG duties alone (which is why I bought it initially, to be honest), but because of how much functionality it has and how clean it sounds I'm immediately using it for its other features; it's currently a dual filter mixer.

A few words about the LPG / opto mode : we tested as many vactrol based LPG as we could find (qmmg, optomix, sputnik, doepfer, ...) and we of course had some passionate debates about the decay of the opto mode. We ended up with a not too short not too long duration great for bongos and natural plucks. But I hear you
