1U & 3U Eurorack Modules • Re: Build your own Moog Labyrinth tips?

A little late to this party however... relating ONLY to the sequencing part of Labyrinth you bascially want a QuBit Bloom.

I have both Labyrinth and Bloom and it is very clear to me that Labyrinth is a cut down (simplified) version of Bloom functionality.
Laby has 1-8 steps available - Bloom has 1-32
Laby only plays each step once - Bloom can ratchet any or all steps from 1-8
Laby has only 1 pattern at a time - Bloom generate up to 8 additional "Variations' of your pattern to use some/all/none as required
Laby has only 1 pattern at a time - Bloom will give you a futher 8 different 'Paths' through the 8 different pattern 'Variations'
Laby has 'Corrupt' to destructively change the sequence values - Bloom does the same with 'Mutation', however mutation than also updates all the additional variations as well.
Laby has 'Bit-Flip' to turn steps on an off - Bloom does the same with step rests
Laby has 'Bit'Shift' to offset a step - Bloom plays forward/backward/pendulum/random
Laby has clock division and separation of this between sequencer lanes etc - Bloom does the same.
Laby does not slew notes - Bloom can slew any, none, or all notes at any step in the sequence

Add an MI Branches (or o_C Brancher) to isolate or distribute the step gates and things really start to develop :-)

In all honesty if someone just wants Labyrinth for the sequencer grab a Qu-Bit Bloom for half the price, though Labyrinth as a package is great for a small techno setup with a Digitakt or similar.
