I played with a guy who had a big old boombox with no speakers but instead long wires coming out to two small (3”?) speakers.. he would hold the rattling speaker against drum heads, sheet metal pieces, etc. he fed his guitar into it somehow, (phononpre perhaps?) and he would positional this and create feedback and the whole thing got quite wild. Fun to play and very organic sounding!
Maybe a small electric motor and a guitar pickup could be played next to each other somehow? Or pickup, amp and speaker in a more self contained system.
