Three days of familiarization/exploration thus far. Takeaways
Sound
I'd describe the overall sound as "dirty digital". Mostly in a good way, but there are settings that produce downright abrasive digital noises (maybe applicable with processing for more industrial/noise type stuff). There are some smoother "prettier" sounds to be had but it leans to the dirty side in general.
Strengths
The large Space knob is essentially a programmable macro controller. The controller allows for subtle to drastic timbre changes affecting multiple parameters with the sweep of this one controller. This function brings the module its unique character and influences its use case I've found.
CV control over most parameters
The Cluster parameter has shown depth, I anticipate broad tuning experimentation thru Cluster modulation will be had.
The Reverb is nice (see cons)
Cons
Don't like the menu/editable parameter interfacing (although the visual indication is good)
The amplitude levels need addressed. Unless the exciter is engaged, the internal levels run far too hot, often leading to clipping and noise. Attenuation needed (as previously mentioned) at output which is simple but I've found many parameters that push to internal clipping.
Reverb needs control over more parameters
I'd say my 4ms EnOsc is the closest module in comparison, if I had to choose between the two...EnOsc all day, but the Laniakea will get you some good textures and is obviously suited best for ambient type stuff. If you are on the fence, go with the EnOsc.
