1U & 3U Eurorack Modules • Re: Knobs with rims under the panel

I assume this is a design choice that helps make the module very affordable at the cost of making it harder to customize the knobs, and I should give up on my knob-changing ambitions. Does anyone know better?
Those are ACP -trim*- pots which have a large number of variations and shafts.

As transistorresistor said, you can add a typical knob to these. But the pot will *not* be hurt if you choose to replace the shaft with something else. They're designed for that!

These are almost amazing pots in that you can easily get them in both Carbon -blue and Cermet -brown, have potentially stepped outputs, and can make up all kinds of different pots.
The only thing that causes these not to be more widely used is that their rotation is only 240 degrees. :bang:
The lipped disk is supposed to be placed against the panel rear to assist in angular axial support. <--This is another of its downsides.

ACP is in Spain but Piher also makes a compatible collection.

*trim since the pot only has 1k life, but it does allow adding more life at order.
