I love the Kick, Korg totally chose the wrong name.
Maybe Volca Sick, or another letter I won't mention.

It wouldn't sync to my RD-6, or even play correctly when I send it a tom.

I tried all the possibilities, including changing the sync polarity, and the clock rate.

Pretty much what it says in this thread:
https://legacy-forum.arturia.com/index. ... c=102840.0

Checked if it's the latest firmware and it is.

Checked the same thing with Boss DR-220 and Volca Bass with the RD-6 and it works fine. Just with this it won't.

I don't care about MIDI sync. I don't want to use its own sequencer. Yes, I can sequence it by MIDI (just bass drums) with my Yamaha sequencers and drum machines, but I want to do it by trigger. I wrote a whole measure of bass drums, and it wasn't triggering properly. Did the same thing triggering my DR-220, and that worked fine, so it's clearly not the RD-6 at fault.
The Volca Kick and other Volcas have multiple sync modes. You have to select the right one for your clock sync source.

By default, Volcas advance two steps per each clock pulse. This can be changed to one step per pulse, which is more common in other gear. Also, you can set it to sync to a rising edge or a falling edge of the pulse. And it's also important to use a proper cable. When synchronizing Volcas together, the included stereo cable works well, but when sync'ing to other gear, you might want to use a mono cable instead. Try different settings until you find one that works well with the RD-6.

(I actually plan to get an RD-6 later this year, so I'll have to work this out myself).
